In 24-48 hours after the inspection* you'll receive, via e-mail, your comprehensive, easy to understand narrative report (view sample cover letter with photos and sample report). The report is plainly written and restates the conditions that were discussed during the inspection. It provides concise, practical information and details the condition of the home and its major systems on the day of the inspection. The report will itemize any major repairs, which are needed in the very near future, and minor repairs, which can be postponed for a while. The report may also recommend that you contact one or more specialists for a more detailed check of a component or system, when this is deemed necessary .
My Code Of Ethics
Home inspections are my only business, and the only payment I receive for the inspection is from my client. Referral fees are neither paid nor accepted by Ridge Home Inspection, Inc neither from companies that refer clients to me, nor from companies that would like to offer other specialty services to my clients. As a result, my clients can be certain of both my allegiance and concern for their best interests because I am committed to work solely on their behalf. I will act fairly and impartially to provide an informative, unbiased, objective and honest report because I do not offer repairs, maintenance work, or sell any products. I strictly avoid any conflicts of interest, and will not recommend any contractor, remodeler or other person to perform work on a home that I have inspected.
Finally -- Closing Day!
Lastly, most contracts of sale allow for a buyer to "walk-thru" the property, prior to closing. A home buyer should not skip this important final step in the buying process. The home is now uncluttered, and this unobstructed view may uncover previously undetected, concealed, conditions, or conditions that may have changed since the original home inspection. Consult with your real estate agent or attorney for guidance.
